Tuna Casserole

Ma’ayan once had told me that  whoever stays at home, works harder.
Well, I had my doubts. I spent a lot of time with her, hanging out together.  I did not really understand what all the fuss was about. OK, you have a baby at home- big deal.
When my baby was born, my mom came to the US for a month. She took care of him all day long. This gave me plenty of time to rest, and to do everything around the house.
Today, when I drink my coffee cold, when I don’t have time to eat, and that I find myself brushing my teeth with one hand and holding my little guy in the other, I realize that Maayan was right.
I always try to cook enough food that I would not have to deal with it during the week, because I really cannot find time to change into normal clothes from my pajamas in the morning.
But if somehow I planned it wrong and we do not have food left in the middle of the week, I prepare this tuna casserole. It is made of 4 ingredients only, that can be found in every household and it can be baked in the microwave too, minimum work, suitable for lunch and kids love it.
Tuna Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

  • A pack of Pasta (450 gr.) in the form of "old fashion wide", which is similar to pappardelle only shorter.
  • 3 cups of cheese – I'm using Mozzarella, Chedder or Gauda
  • A quarter cup of milk
  • 3 cans of canned tuna (about 330 gr.)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1

Cook the pasta according to instructions and put in a bowl.

2

Add all the other ingredients except half a cup of the grated cheese and mix.

3

Transfer to the baking pan and spread the half cup of remaining cheese on top.

4

Place in a microwave for 25 minutes or alternatively, bake for 30 minutes in a preheated oven on 355 °.

Isn’t that easy?
