Baked Spicy Cauliflower

Recently I found great cauliflower in the grocery, and I decided to make the next recipe.
I love it, not only because it is delicious and have rich flavors, but because it has almost no calories! And it is a nice addition to the Sabbath table or as light lunch\ dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of yellow mustard seed

Instructions

1

Mix all the spices. The quantity is quite large and you may use it for 2 cauliflowers. I usually use half the amount and keep the rest in the jar until next use.

2

Preheat the oven to 350 F°

3

Cut all the leaves of the cauliflower, wash and dry it.

4

Spread the olive oil on the cauliflower.

5

Sprinkle the spices over the cauliflower. Using your hands, give the cauliflower good rub, so that the spices will cover all of it.

6

Put the cauliflower on a baking sheet, cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 50 minutes.

7

Then, remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes.

8

I like to serve it at room temperature.

Isn’t that easy?
