Sweet- Asian Salmon Recipe

Sweet-Asian salmon it’s Dima’s favorite dish. And you know what? It’s the easiest to make: no cutting, no cook special sauce and no special preparation. Just mix some ingredients and pour it over the fish and you will get an awesome salmon dish.

Ingredients

1 Salmon fillet 1.2-1.5 KG\ 2.5-3.4 LB
4  tablespoons of soy sauce
Half a cup of Silan (date honey, you can get it in Mediterranean stores or you may use pure, sugar free maple)
4-5  large garlic cloves, finely grated
3  tablespoons of honey
1 teaspoon of finely grated ginger
1 teaspoon of dry chili flakes – if you are not a fan of spicy food, use a ¼ of teaspoon

Preparation

1. Put the soy sauce, Silan\ maple syrup, honey, garlic, ginger and chili flakes in a bowl and mix to a uniform sauce.
2. Cut the salmon fillet into the desired number of pieces
3. Arrange the fish in a deep baking tray (I love using Pyrex). Spread the all sauce on each piece, with the help of baking brush. Cover the pan with aluminum foil.
4. If you are in a hurry, or super hungry at this point you can put the baking tray in a preheated oven at 180ºC\ 350ºF degrees.
If you have time, I like to leave the fish in the fridge for 30-60 minutes so the fish will absorbs all the flavors and only then put it in the oven.
5. Bake it for about 25 minutes with aluminum foil, and another 10-15 minutes without it.
6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and enjoy
