Dima’s Baked Chicken Wings Salt and Pepper Styles

A week ago we returned back home. After weeks of eating outside with all the moving, we arrived to quarantining.
And what a person can do while he stuck in at home? – Eat.
Dima decided to prepare his famous recipe for spicy baked chicken wings. You may prepare it with also with chicken drum sticks.
Its a great recipe for crispy, baked chicken wings for a healthier chicken wing dish. These chicken wings are delicious right out of the oven.

Ingredients

4 pounds of chicken wings / drum sticks (without the skin)
1 teaspoon of turmeric
1 teaspoon of paprika
2 tablespoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt
½ teaspoon of black pepper
2 teaspoons crushed red pepper
A bunch of cilantro
1 large bunch of green onions (about 11 onions)
Big garlic bulb
2 tablespoons of olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220º C\ 425º F degrees
  2. Combine the baking powder and powdered seasonings in a bowl and mix well
  3. Toss the wings with the dry coating
  4. Arrange the chicken pieces on a baking pan with a baking sheet and place in the oven
  5. Bake wings for 75 minutes, turning every 25 minutes until crispy and done. If you used drum sticks and not wings, after baking 50 minutes, cut each chicken piece in half and return to the oven for another 25 minutes
  6. While the chicken wings are in the oven, chop coarsely the cilantro and green onions. cut the garlic into small cubes
  7. Heat the oil in a pan and add the herbs and the garlic. Saute the vegetables for about 10-15 minutes over medium heat
  8. When the chicken is ready, transfer it to a tray and sprinkle over the herbs
