Artichoke Alla-Romana-Recipe- Appetizer

I met this dish of “artichoke Alla-Romana” for the first time at “Bat Yaer”-my favorite restaurant.
Then we (Dima and I) ate another similar dish of “artichoke alla-Romana” in a small bistro. We decided that we should make it at home.
Why? Cause it super fancy that you usually only eat in a restaurant. But it so good! so why should we eat it just when we go out?
We were not sure what ingredients we should use beside artichokes.  So we went to the grocery store, bought a jar of canned artichokes – because come on, we’re not going to sit and peel fresh ones. Around them, we built this beautiful dish.

Ingredients

A jar of canned artichokes
Half a small red onion
4 radishes
Half a bunch of parsley
2 red chilies – optional
Half a bunch of cilantro
2 chopped garlic cloves
Salt
Olive oil
lemon
200 grams of cream cheese

Preparation

There are usually 4-6 artichokes in each jar. I like to cut them in half, but you can also cut them into quarters
1. Wash the artichokes and cut them lengthwise
2. Meanwhile, finely chop the red onion, the cilantro, the parsley, the garlic, the chili and the radishes – put everything in a bowl and season to taste with olive oil, salt and lemon and mix. I like to add a lot of olive oil and lemon in this little salad.
3. Heat a pan and sear the artichokes on both sides.
4. Arrange the artichokes on a plate, arrange on top of them the salad
5. Put the cream cheese in a piping bag, and add it to the artichoke

How easy was that?? Easy and fancy appetizer
